Safeguarding

We film people who may be vulnerable. Their safety and wellbeing come before any film. This page explains what we do.

Our promises

• Taking part is voluntary. You can say no, pause or stop at any time.
• We explain everything in plain language before you decide.
• You sign a declaration before anything is filmed.
• Before publication you can ask us not to publish, and Josh will consider it in good faith.
• We ask what you need to feel safe, and we plan around it.
• We do not film anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent and extra care.

Care before, during and after

We check in before and after filming. We keep a list of support services to share with you.

Taking a film down

If you change your mind after publication, contact us and we will talk with you about what can be done.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about how a contributor was treated, or about someone's safety, email info@withoutsilence.com.
